Yea! I just got the call that my small sets are coming. doing happy dance

County Fair results are in

For 5 entries, I received 7 ribbons: a Second place for my laptop tote bag in the miscellaneous crocheted category; First place for my crocheted Heart Pillow and Fiesta Shawl; First place in crocheted rugs and Best of All Rugs for my Braided Look Rug; First place and Best of All Knitting for my Clementine Shawlette made with Merlin from Louet. The crocheted shawl is fingering weight mercerized cotton and the rug, pillow and tote are all double worsted cotton. Pix are available on Flickr. Starting now to plan for next year ~ just hope I follow through this time and don’t get myself in a time jam the last month before the fair like I did this year.

The past few days I’ve been trying to catch up on my other projects. On the knitting needles: a fingering weight scarf and a pair of socks (toe up); on the crochet hooks: a placemat, blue/black Brick Wall squares for a group project comfortghan; still need to finish weaving ends and doing border for my Rug of Many Colors. And my fingers are itching to start a couple things; will probably start a string bag this afternoon. I won’t tell if you won’t!
